What ever his secret was, the one he was so desperate to hide, I just wanted to prove to him that I would not cast cruel judgment over it! I would embrace him in all his full glory and exalt him as the strongest person I know. He had to be. I've yet to meet a person who's been through as much as him, struggled for as long as he had, and endured the way he did. He was not only a survivor, but a conqueror. Not many people who've dealt with so much tragedy can stand proud and smile, specifically at such a vulnerable age as his. It just made him shimmer all the more in my eyes.
We pulled the rope, the pylon popping loudly with every foot of rope extended. The Pylon slowly turned with every pop, unspooling even more. The amount of resistance was incredible. It was a full body workout dragging the rope around the course. It took ten minutes to reach the fourth pylon.
